Bujinkan Dojo
Bujinkan (武神館) Dojo, is dedicated to the study of Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu (武神館武道体術)under the Guidance of Maasaki Hatsumi Soke (Grandmaster), the Bujinkan is a true form of Budo(武道) (way of the warrior). The Bujinkan is the world famous school of Ninjutsu; the martial art created, mastered and perfected by the ancient Ninja, passed down from generations of Ninja over a period of more than 900 years. Their training and skill level were extreme, not only in the physical sense but in their application to develop skills to protect oneself and others, through the basis of techniques and principles behind the techniques which often focus on the disabling or immobilizing the attacker. Ninjutsu focuses on real life scenarios, with the emphasis on true effectiveness and applicability in actual combat. Soke Hatsumi has repeatedly called Budo Taijutsu, "The Art of Distance".. We train in martial arts, not martial sport. Hatsumi Soke has made it clear; if the Bujinkan ever involves itself in competition, we will no longer be a martial art, we will lose the true feeling and the purpose of Budo (武道).
The Bujinkan does not adhere to any guideline or set of rules to limit action or techniques during training, whilst all care and safety is taken, however, the Bujinkan is mostly known for teaching kosshijutsu (骨指術)(pressure point, muscle tearing and joint dislocations), koppojutsu (骨法術)(bone breaking), jutaijutsu (柔体術)(throwing, grappling, ground fighting), dakentaijutsu (打拳体術)(strikes), happo bikenjutsu (various modern and traditional weapons), and ninpo tactics and strategies (Ninjutsu)(忍術). The depth of Bujinkan training is designed to open ones eyes to the endless possibilities and potential to any given situations.
Training in Budo Taijutsu encompasses nearly countless scenarios, which is one of the reasons why military and security forces throughout the world have members within our ranks. Expect to learn, against both single and multiple opponents: Hand to hand combat, grappling, 'floor' work, escape and evasion, unarmed vs. armed, knife, staff, shuriken (and other thrown weapons), rope, spear and exotic weapons specific to the Ninja, and of course, swords.
